Wine Tasting 28/08/2024

Join us this week for an exciting wine tasting event, where we will explore three exceptional white wines: Sommos Garnacha Blanca, Instituto Hemingway Rioja, and Txakoli. This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your appreciation for fine sparkling wines and enjoy a delightful experience with fellow enthusiasts.

Event Details:

Host: Our very own Alfredo, who has led all of our "Wine Tasting" sessions and is highly knowledgeable about everything related to wine.

Pairings: As always, the wine tasting will be accompanied by a selection of small bites to enhance your tasting experience.

White Wines:

Sommos Garnacha Blanca: Pale yellow with transparent edges. Initial mineral notes give way to aromas of white fruit, finishing with toasted and pastry undertones. It presents a pleasant balance between the structure, the bitterness from aging on lees, and a sharp acidity that makes it long and refreshing.

Instituto Hemingway Rioja: Made predominantly with the Viura grape (also known as Macabeo), though other varieties like Garnacha Blanca, Malvasía, and Tempranillo Blanco may also be used. White Rioja typically has a fresh and fruity profile, with notes of apple, pear, citrus, and white flowers.

Txakoli: This wine is known for its lively and refreshing acidity, with a low alcohol content (generally between 9.5% and 11.5%). It has aromas of green fruits like apple and lemon, with herbal and saline notes that reflect its coastal origin. It is a dry and crisp wine, with a slight effervescence that makes it especially refreshing.
